I was thinking it would be a good idea to have a mock run too. Set everything up and make sure it works and get all the kinks out.
My phone is dead... Died several days ago and I haven't had a chance to replace it yet cuz we've been busy as hell with the haying. Finally got done today and I'll have a chance to get a new phone. I don't know how to check my voicemail without the phone so if anybody is leaving messages and not getting their calls returned.... It ain't cuz I'm avoiding you.

Terry hasn't cut his field yet. It's gonna have to dry up again, but he'll probably be cutting next week.

Kid, that is one of my favorite expressions ...... but my hubby doesn't think it is nearly as amusing as I do. Sheesh!
I just woke up today and realized it was the end of October so if we are going to have this playday next month we gotta get ready.

Yes it did sneak up on us pretty fast. But the arena's been underwater now for several weeks so I wasn't even sure it was going to be dry enough. I went over monday and trenched to let the water off and it's still wet. Since we didn't get the rain that was expected last night... it'll probably dry now.
Problem is... I never ordered the ribbons and don't think I'll have enough time now so... I'm thinking maybe we should have the 'practice' playday next weekend with whoever would like to participate just for the hell of it and then determine our next move.

Hope you all have a wonderful Play Day !!!!!! Sounds like there are plenty of folks willing and able to help put it together.
All ya need is a photographer for us 'No Shows" and of course for your own memories...

Joy just told me about this playday, and we are planning on coming. I just realized even though she said Sat. it is not stated what day. She also wanted me to ask what time are you going to start?

Hi Shelly
Saturday the 11th we're gonna have a 'practice' playday. We were planning to have an official playday on that date but we didn't get ready in time so we're gonna set everthing up and make sure we're ready to go when we do get around to setting a date.
We'll wind up playing most of the day in a real informal atmosphere working horses and running patterns and you're certainly welcome to come out if you'd like.
